Love and Lust

 Chapter 1: The First Glance

They met in rains, one cloudy day,
When thunder rolled and skies turned gray.
Just one quick look, a passing smile,
And both hearts skipped, though just awhile.

She wore a sari, bold and bright,
Her eyes were deep as village nights.
Her gaze was soft, yet wild and strong,
And in his heart, she’d left a song.

He was a poet, plain and shy,
With words that flew like birds in sky.
But in her eyes, his thoughts caught fire,
Each heartbeat felt a new desire.

Chapter 2: Love’s First Steps

In hidden lanes and temple walls,
Their voices echoed like soft calls.
They walked through fields, down riversides,
As love grew strong, like rising tides.

They talked of dreams, of city lights,
Of quiet days and starry nights.
She spoke of far-off lands and seas;
He listened close, his heart at ease.

In markets filled with spice and sound,
In temples where soft prayers abound,
They laughed, they shared, they dreamed so free,
Of love that bloomed so naturally.

Chapter 3: The Shadow of Lust

But in love’s warmth, a shadow lay,
A spark of lust, fierce as day.
It crept in whispers, hid in glances,
Stirred by soft touches, passing chances.

He felt it rise, a sudden thrill,
A secret fire that wouldn’t chill.
Yet in her eyes, he saw her truth,
And swore to hold their love in youth.

But lust, untamed, takes its own way,
It pulls the heart, leads it astray.
It came to him, like burning fire,
In moments lost to pure desire.

Chapter 4: The Doubts Begin

They dreamed of future, made their plans,
Of shared lives, and holding hands.
But soon, like clouds in rainy weather,
Dark doubts began to drift together.

She saw it first, his distant stare,
A look of longing, hanging there.
In his silence, fears would rise,
Like thunder hidden in calm skies.

One night she asked, “Is love still near?
Or has it changed, now unclear?”
He turned away, heart heavy too,
For lust had clouded what was true.

Chapter 5: Facing the Truth

In mustard fields, all yellow-bright,
They spoke of love and lust that night.
For love, though gentle, could not last,
Where lust’s wild fire had burned too fast.

He knelt and whispered, “Love, I tried,
But lust is strong, it pulls, it hides.”
She held his face, soft as could be,
Two hearts in pain, but finally free.

In that sorrow, truth was bare,
Their tender bond, beyond repair.
For lust might fade, and love may heal,
But honesty can’t fake what’s real.

Chapter 6: Going Separate Ways

With morning light, they parted ways,
On different paths, through misty haze.
She touched his hand, a quick goodbye,
Her eyes dry under open sky.

He watched her go, her steps grow small,
A figure fading, one last call.
And in that moment, silence grew,
For love that couldn’t stay, though true.

The banyan tree, the temple’s shade,
Were witnesses to vows they’d made.
Two hearts that loved and lusted too,
But found their journey split in two.

Epilogue: Memories Remain

Now in bazaars and crowded nights,
He walks alone, under street lights.
With poems whispered, soft and slow,
To memories of love, long ago.

And she, though far, lives on in song,
A spirit free, alive, and strong.
For lust and love may part at will,
But both leave warmth, and both fulfill.
